The Turkish and Greek Cypriots have been living on the island of Cyprus located in the Eastern Mediterranean for more than four hundred years. During this period they experienced cohabitation under different rules. They lived under the Ottoman Empire and then under British rule. they gained independence and tried a partnership Republic which failed after three years. They lived in peace and they lived in war. They once lived mixed and they are now separate. This book is a personal account of events that might bring into focus the reasons for the separation of the inhabitants of this beautiful island and an insight to the Cyprus Conflict that has been unresolved for the past thirty nine years.
