Félix Vallotton

Vallotton distinguished himself early on for his style and accomplishment. Doing al sorts of work in his early years to support himself, it was woodcuts which eventually brought him celebrity.A skilful draughtsman, his work is marked by a sense of irony specially in portraits. Landscapes showed great sensibility, and his true inclinations came out in interior paintings of great clarity and immobility, givin of a sense of malancholy.
