Vasily Kadinsky

After the Russian Revolution, Kandinsky was named to several important positions at the Commissariat for Popular Culture and the Academy of Arts. He was responsible for opening no fewer than 22 Russian museums. Although his work was rejected and confiscated by the Nazis, Kandinsky is now universally recognized for his profound influence on the entire course of modern art. This book includes many of Kandinskys major works from Russian museum, which have only recently come to light following the collapse of the Soviet Union.
