Productivity and Profitability- The Turkish Case

Globalization and regionalization has very significant effects on the world economy in general and on the Turkish economy in particular. There are new markets to be entered and old ones to be satisfied. The goal can be achieved only with competitive advantage. With almost free movement of factors and technology, productivity and profitabiltiy become the key concepts. It is the aim of this book to study productivity and profitability in Turkey. Earlier studies have concentrated only on the manufacturing sector. We have attempted to study all the sectors, given data limitations.
